Hand crafted on the Med, inspired by the mountains.
I'm Maya, the artist behind Maya Carves.
Barcelona, Spain
I create my ceramic pieces with an artistic vision, rooted in tradition and inspired by nature. Maya Carves promotes handcrafted ceramics that blend function with art, celebrating the beauty of everyday objects through small-batch, sustainably made designs. Focused on one-of-a-kind items with a transparent production process and sustainable practices to oppose mass-produced ceramics, creating exclusivity and a sense of connection with the maker.
NEWS + COLLABORATIONS
SEPTEMBER 2026
I have some pieces available through Scenario’s collective Drop 003.
Scenario was born from the passion and experience of set designers and interior stylists Greta Cevenini and Sonia Pravato.
It is an online gallery that selects and showcases artworks available for purchase or rental, creating a space for research between art and design.
Each chosen object goes beyond decoration, carrying stories, ideas, and experimentation, and is part of
an ongoing dialogue between art, design, and scenography.
Scenario is a place where emerging talents and evolving contexts meet,
offering unique pieces for photo shoots, artistic productions, and new aesthetic research scenarios.

Summer 2026

Maya Carves is part of the summer collection of Brutal Ceramics in Paris.
Brutal was born as a reaction to this revival of the ceramic arts.
They offer only the finest quality ceramic and handcrafted products, and we are proud to represent sustainable small-scale production.
Brutal wants to embody the revival of this craft through everyday objects, handmade, pieces produced in small series for the most part, sometimes unique pieces and pieces imagined and designed in collaboration for Brutal.

- Behind Maya Carves
All ceramic pieces are unique in their nature and there isn’t two completely alike.
Hand crafted on the Mediterranean coast and inspired by the raw beauty of rock formations, the mountains and the free spirit of nature.
You can find both functional and decorative vessels created to elevate the daily life.
Each vessel is entirely hand made, using both old and new techniques that require time
and dedication, to produce objects that represent the organic forms and imperfect lines found in nature.
